Desi Garcia-Hernandez Scores Her 1,000th Point

Congratulations to Desi Garcia-Hernandez, No. 23, for scoring her 1,000th career point in the 60-52 win against Penn State Brandywine in the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) Semifinal on February 26, 2024, in the gym of the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center at Penn State York. Garcia-Hernandez, a senior majoring in human development and family studies, scored 12 points in the game and achieved this milestone. She is a graduate of IESAlcala’, Tenerife, Spain.  The mother of two is the third woman in the history of the campus to achieve this goal. Her teammate, Jayla Brown, reached 1,000 points on February 10, 2024, and in 2014, Courtney Riggs became the first woman at Penn State York to score 1,000 points.
