Jayla Brown Earns Her 1000th Career Point in Women's Basketball

Congratulations to Jayla Brown, No. 10, for scoring her 1,000th career point in the 60-38 win against Penn State Hazleton on February 10, 2024,  in the gym of the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center on campus. It was a great 22nd birthday present to herself as the senior, who is majoring in human development and family studies, scored 22 points to achieve this milestone. She is a graduate of New Oxford High School in New Oxford, Pennsylvania.  What is even more impressive is that Brown reached the 1,000-point mark in just three years of play in women's basketball at Penn State York. Brown is only the second women's basketball player at the campus to mark this achievement. Courtney Riggs was the first women's basketball player to do so in 2014.
