Penn State York Men's Basketball kicked off the new year with a 78–65 loss to Division III program Wilson College in a non-conference game. York fell behind about eight minutes in, and Wilson was able to slowly grow their lead to 9 by halftime, then keep York at bay in an evenly matched second half.

Perhaps rusty due to the winter layoff, Penn State York shot only 30% from the field and 23% from distance, although the team did go 10–14 from the free throw line.

Sophomore transfer Khalil White (Cheltenham, Pa.) led York with 19 points in his first game with the team, while Richard Grant (York, Pa. / Susquehannock High School) again contributed a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Justin Luton (Baltimore, Md.) pulled down 10 rebounds while scoring 7 points. Wilson's Keion Adams led all scorers with 20 points.

Penn State York next hosts the University of Maine at Fort Kent on Sunday, January 7 at 2:00 p.m. in the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center Gym. All Penn State York home games are free and open to the public.
