Playing a non-conference game against Division III University of Valley Forge one night after a 19-point loss at Penn State Brandywine, Penn State York Men's Basketball rallied in the second half for an 81–68 win at home Wednesday, Dec. 6.

Penn State York went into the half down by five, 42–37, and missed its first three shots of the second half as Valley Forge managed to take an 11-point lead. Jonny Sutton (York, Pennsylvania / Dallastown Area High School), Joey O'Dwyer, and Richard Grant then combined to score all of York's points during a 19–3 run, which gave the home team a lead it wouldn't relinquish.

Following a night when York only hit 1 of 9 3-pointers, O'Dwyer (Baltimore, Maryland / Dulaney High School) had 5 of the team's 7 in the win, going for 19 points. Grant (York, Pennsylvania / Susquehannock High School) led all scorers with 25 points, while Justin Luton (Baltimore, Maryland / Newtown High School) chipped in 6 points while pulling down 12 rebounds.

Penn State York improves to 8–2 overall, while sitting at 4–1 in the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) going into the winter break, giving the team almost a month off. York hosts a couple of non-conference opponents in the first week of the new year in Wilson College (Jan. 4 at 7 p.m.) and University of Maine, Fort Kent (Jan. 7 at 2 p.m.) before getting into the meat of the PSUAC schedule.
