Penn State York Men's Basketball used a 14–0 run early in the second half to take control of the game during a 77–62 win at Penn State Worthington Scranton Tuesday evening, Nov. 28.
Justin Luton (Baltimore, Maryland / Newtown High School) scored 12 of his 18 points in the second half and was 8 of 11 from the field on the night. Richard Grant (York, Pennsylvania / Susquehannock High School) scored 24 points and pulled down 7 rebounds for York, while Larry Rascoe (Harrisburg, Pennsylvania / Susquehanna Township High School) dished out 11 assists to go with 8 rebounds and 7 points. Joey O'Dwyer (Baltimore, Maryland/ Dulaney High School) was 4 of 8 from distance, with 2 of those 3-pointers capping off York's decisive second-half surge.
With its fifth straight win, Penn State York improves to 5–1 on the season and is now 2–0 in Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference play. York heads northeast again Friday evening, this time traveling to Cedar Crest College to take on Penn State Lehigh Valley at 8 p.m. After a late night, the team returns home for a Saturday afternoon matchup with Penn State DuBois. Gametime for Saturday's home game in the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center Gym is 3 p.m.
