O’Dwyer Shoots Men’s Basketball Past Williamson

In a rematch of a USCAA Division II first-round game from last season, Penn State York Men's Basketball prevailed over Williamson College of the Trades, 69–60, on the opening evening of the John Benchoff Tournament at Penn State Mont Alto, Friday, November 10.
 
Sophomore Joey O'Dwyer (Baltimore, Maryland / Delaney High School) went 5 of 7 from 3-point range for 20 points in 21 minutes off the bench to lead the Nittany Lions. Junior Richard Grant (York, Pennsylvania / Susquehannock High School) added 15 points, while junior Justin Luton (Baltimore, Maryland / Newton High School) added 5 rebounds and 9 points, going 4-4 from the floor.
 
As a team, York shot 47% from the floor, while holding Williamson to 38% shooting and just 24% from distance. York out-rebounded Williamson 39–29 and got a big lift from its bench, which outscored Williamson's 32–3.
 
Penn State York returns to the Penn State Mont Alto court tomorrow (Saturday) at 1:00 against Davis College.
