Golf Team Takes Second Place at PSUAC Championship

Penn State Proud!! Congratulations to the Penn State York golf team as they took second place in the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC), just one stroke behind the first-place team. Logan Snyder, a member of the York team, led all golfers in the two-day event with a score of 143. He also earned a gold medal from the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), and the team finished fifth in the USCAA.  Also in the PSUAC, the two-day total for Mason Steward was 166 for an eighth-place finish, and Andy Manges was 168 in a tie for ninth. Not too far behind was Tony Benkovic with a 169 and Ben Segal with 191. If that's not enough, Joe Downing, head coach of the golf team and a member of the York faculty, was named "Coach of the Year."  Pictured, from left to right in a tournament earlier in the season, are Anthony Benkovic, Kurtis Keller, Andrew Manges, Logan Snyder, Matt Keller (assistant coach),  Joe Downing (head coach and “Coach of the Year” in the PSUAC), Mason Steward, and Ben Segal.
