New Kensington makes it nine straight on senior day!

New Kensington, PA – The Lions took care of PSU York, 6-0, in a senior day showdown at the athletic field honoring: senior Sam Barca, senior Sebastian Borrero, sophomore Jordan Cooper (2+2), and sophomore Austin Arnold (2+2), and freshmen Ericsson Kimbell II (1+3). The win makes it nine straight for New Kensington on the season, keeping the Lions within reach of a conference title.

New Kensington jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first nine minutes of action on goals by Austin Arnold and freshmen Michael Chaloupka. Arnold added his second of the game at the 32:00 minute mark to make it 3-0 going into the half. The lions added three more goals in the second half on their way to the 6-0 victory.

The Lions were on the attack majority of the day, tallying 26 shots to 4. Freshmen Ethan Hutcherson led the team with five shots, while Arnold, Chaloupka, and freshmen Dylan Shaw chipped in four apiece.

New Kensington kept up the unselfish play, assisting on four of their six goals. Chaloupka delivered the helper for two goals, with Shaw and sophomore Jacob Guerrini assisting on the others.

The Lions look to make it 10 straight as they travel to PSU Beaver this Tuesday, October 18th for another conference matchup.
