Brandywine Extends PSUAC Win Streak To 40 Games With Victory Over York

YORK, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine's conference win streak reached 40 consecutive games on Wednesday as the Lions' men's soccer team defeated Penn State University Athletic Conference foe Penn State York by a score of 10-0.

Brandywine, in the midst of a seven-game win streak, have won three-straight conference titles after unbeaten runs through the PSUAC. The Lions, whose most recent conference loss came in September 2016, are now 6-0 in league play this fall with three conference matchups remaining.

Ronaldo Calle (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) paced the offense by scoring three times and adding an assist on Nathan Bowman's (York, Pa./York Suburban) tally.

Alex Lopez (Toughkenamon, Pa./Kennett) netted the match's first goal in the 15th minute and tacked on assists on scores by Gavin Birch (Media, Pa./Strath Haven) and Calle. Walton Tucker (Garnet Valley, Pa./West Nairobi School) produced a pair of first-half goals and Dom Scrivano (Essington, Pa./Interboro) recorded two assists. Stevie DiSipio (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) accounted for the Lions' ninth goal of the game midway through the second half.

The Lions, who scored five times during each stanza, outshot York 29-1. Juan Guerrero (Kennett Square, Pa./Kennett) stopped one shot for his fourth-straight shutout. Brandywine has not allowed a goal as a team in six consecutive matches.

Brandywine (10-4-1, 6-0 PSUAC) heads to Brooklyn Sunday for a 12:00 pm match at Pratt Institute.
