Men's Basketball Drop Tight Game to PS York

NEWTOWN, PA. - Bucks lost to Penn State York by a score of 73-70 on Sunday afternoon.

The Centurions came up just short of pulling the upset victory over a top team in the USCAA. With 7 seconds remaining in the game, Bucks was down by 2 points, missed a three pointer that would have give Bucks the lead. unfortunately, the shot rattled off the rim and York got the rebound. Bucks was forced to foul, and York made 1 of 2 free throws to end the game.

Bucks was down by as much as 15 points in the first half and was up by 5 midway through the second. The game overall, with the exception of the loss, was a positive for the team as they competed with a top team in the league.

Sophomore, Luis Rodriguez (Bensalem, PA/Bensalem) paced the Centurions with 21 points while Jaden Fogg (Morrisville, PA/Morrisville) 11 points, 12 rebounds and Octavio Alexander (Wilmer Huthin) 12 points, 11 rebounds chipped in for the totals.

Bryant scored 19 pts along with 10 rebounds and 4 steals in the contest while Heath, Rodriguez scored 16 and 11 respectively.

The loss drops the Centurions to an overall record of 5-12 and Penn State York improves to 5-4 overall, 2-2 in the ESAC on the season.

The Centurions are back in action on Saturday, January 27th when they travel to play Five Towns College with tip-off scheduled for 3:00pm.
