Penn State Schuylkill Advances to PSUAC Championship with Semifinal Victory!

Penn State Schuylkill punched their ticket to the PSUAC Championship game with a dominant 57-39 victory over Penn State York in the conference semifinals. With this win, Schuylkill returns to the Bryce Jordan Center for the title game, a place where they last claimed championship glory in 2023. Seniors Tajae Stevenson, Nadia King, Allison Crockett, Malak Mowafi, and Monet Edwards, along with junior Serena Jones, all played pivotal roles in that championship run and are eager for another shot at the title.

Schuylkill controlled the game from the second quarter onward, building a double-digit lead early in the third and never looking back.

The game started as a defensive battle, with multiple lead changes in the first quarter. Schuylkill found their rhythm in the second, fueled by Tajae Stevenson's relentless play on both ends of the floor. A strong 10-2 run midway through the quarter created separation, with Stevenson and Serena Jones combining for key buckets. By halftime, Schuylkill held a comfortable 25-10 lead.

York attempted to rally with a pair of three-pointers early in the third, but Schuylkill responded immediately, stretching the advantage to 15. The lead grew to as much as 19, thanks to standout performances from Stevenson, who poured in 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, and Jones, who added 13 points and seven rebounds. The defensive intensity never wavered, holding York to just 21.9% shooting for the game.

With the win, Schuylkill officially closes the season undefeated at home and improves to 21-4 overall on the year. Seniors Tajae Stevenson, Nadia King, Alli Crockett, Malak Mowafi, and Monet Edwards, along with junior Serena Jones, now have a chance to cement their legacy with another championship.
