Penn State York Women's Basketball turned the tables on Mid-Atlantic Christian at home on Thursday, Jan. 11. Avenging an overtime loss from November's Quality Inn Showcase at Davis College, York ran away with the game this time, winning easily, 77–56.
 
Junior Charizma Johnson (West York) hit four three-pointers in the first quarter, including one at the buzzer which give Penn State York an 11-point lead. Johnson recorded 12 of her game-high 23 points in the opening 10 minutes. As a team, York went 11–21 from distance, good for a blistering 52% rate.
 
Penn State York would go into halftime up by 7 points, then exploded for 30 points in the third quarter in building a lead it wouldn't relinquish. The 30 points is the most the team has scored in one quarter this season.
 
Playing without starter Karra Thomason (Bermudian Springs) inside, senior Emily Colon (Lancaster Catholic) picked up the slack on the boards, pulling down 13 rebounds to go with 15 points. York outrebounded the visitors 46–29 on the night. Johnson also contributed 7 rebounds and 6 assists, only committing one turnover.
 
Freshman Janelle Kress (Littlestown) added 15 points, while freshman Corina Rivera (Lancaster Catholic) filled her stat line with 12 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists. Sky Warner (Red Lion) added 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists in 25 minutes off the bench. Starting in place of Thomason, junior Ashley Wells (Northeastern) pulled down 5 rebounds.
 
Penn State York improves to 6–7 overall and resumes Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) play Friday, Jan. 12 at 6 p.m. at home against Penn State Mont Alto. York sits right in the middle of the PSUAC standings at 2–2, but all four conference games so far have come against teams in the top half of the standings.
