Penn State York Women's Basketball lost on the road at the University of Valley Forge, 77–54, Wednesday, Nov. 15. With two starters out to injury, Coach Van Slyke was down to eight women, and each played meaningful minutes.

Valley Forge came out red hot, while York struggled to shoot the ball well, managing only 29% from the field on the night. York picked up valuable experience trying to handle Valley Forge's press, and made a nice run in the fourth quarter, but the game was already out of hand.

Senior Emily Colon (Lancaster, Pennsylvania / Lancaster Catholic High School) led Penn State York with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 steals, and sophomore Sky Warner (Brogue, Pennsylvania / Red Lion Area Senior High School) added 10 points in the losing effort. Senior Kayla Miller (Queens, New York / Hillcrest High School) chipped in 13 points in 27 minutes off the bench.

Penn State York travels to Penn State Hazleton Friday evening, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. to open Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference play. York then returns home for a Thanksgiving week non-conference tilt against Trinity Washington on Monday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m.
