Playing just 16 hours after wrapping up a big win over Penn State Fayette, Penn State York Men's Basketball eked out a close 87–81 victory over Penn State New Kensington on Saturday, Jan. 20.
 
Down by four points with 3:33 to play, Jordin Brown and Penn State York went on a 12–0 run to effectively close out the game and earn the win. The freshman from Hanover scored 8 points during that stretch, finishing with a season-high 17 on 6–10 shooting in 24 minutes off the bench.
 
Brown led the deep York reserves, who outscored New Kensington's, 42–2. AJ Richardson (Dulaney) also had 19 productive minutes off the bench, tying his season-high with 15 points.
 
Joey O'Dwyer (Dulaney) led Penn State York with 20 points in just 18 minutes, on 6–13 shooting from distance. The sophomore is shooting 43% from three-point range this season, almost matching his blistering 44% pace from last year while playing a much larger role.
 
Richard Grant (Susquehannock) again had a double-double in the paint, pulling down 13 rebounds while scoring 13 points, while Larry Rascoe (Susquehanna Township) pulled down 9 rebounds and dished out 9 assists. York out-rebounded New Kensington, 44–32, in the otherwise evenly-matched game.
 
Penn State York improves to 11–5 overall, and now sits tied atop the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference standings at 7–2. York next hosts Penn State Lehigh Valley at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23.
