Men’s Basketball Runs Over Penn State Fayette, 91–60

Penn State York Men's Basketball ran past Penn State Fayette, 91–60, on Friday, Jan. 19 during a special evening when the campus again honored former student Maddie Hill.

Hill was 19 when she died in June 2016 after battling cancer three times. A number of speakers shared a few words of remembrance during a ceremony between the women's and men's games of the second annual Maddie Hill Basketball Games.

Penn State York used a 22–4 run midway through the first half to put the game out of reach early, then received contributions from every member of the roster on the way to the win. 13 players scored for York, as Coach Parrish Petry was able to get some rest for his starters on the first night of a back-to-back.

Freshman Jordin Brown (Hanover) led York with 15 points on 6–10 shooting in 14 minutes off the bench, while Joey O'Dwyer (Dulaney) and Richard Grant (Susquehannock) were both also in double figures.

With the win, Penn State York improves to 10–5 and 6–2 in the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference. York next hosts Penn State New Kensington at 2 pm. on Saturday, Jan. 20.
