Baseball Heads to Florida for Spring Training Games
Penn State York Baseball is in Plant City, Florida over Spring Break week, with a slate of four spring training games set from Monday, Mar. 5 through Thursday, Mar. 8.
After some weather postponements sandwiched around a couple of late-February losses on the road to both Chesapeake College and Lancaster Bible College, Coach Jeff Barkdoll and his staff hope to get a good look at their squad under the Florida sun. With just four games played, middle infielder Logan Miller (Spring Grove, Pennsylvania / Spring Grove) has had the early hot bat, going 6–13 with a double and an RBI.
Penn State York opens in Plant City with a 2 p.m. Monday game against Minnesota State - Mankato. Tuesday brings two games: vs. Central Michigan at 9 a.m. and vs. Ferris State at 5 p.m.
After a day off on Wednesday, Penn State York then takes the field against Penn State University (club) at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.
